Being a municipal CAO is one of the most challenging leadership positions in any organization, private or government.  To run a municipality, you have to have political acumen, strong leadership ability and a fundamental understanding of multiple departments.

Politics, legislation changes, world events, crisis, resident wants and demands – the list of challenges for a municipal CAO is endless.  Municipal councils have to work hard to attract high quality individuals to meet the demands of such a challenging position.
